This happy couple from Tennessee had the best of both worlds for their destination wedding. A traditional church ceremony started the celebration at First Church. Flowers by Fudgie provided Roman columns with arrangements of green hydrangea, colorful Circus roses and belles of Ireland at the front of the church. Twenty-two aisle candelabrum wrapped with Italian ruscus lined the aisle and cast the soft glow of candlelight.
The bride walked the aisle in an ivory silk strapless gown with a full silk organza skirt. She carried a stunning, elegant hand tied bouquet of cream garden roses wrapped in lace from her mother’s wedding gown. She was attended by 7 girls dressed in strapless silk shantung dresses in almond. Their bouquets consisted of green hydrangea, Circus roses and orange spray roses.
The reception at the Ringling Museum Courtyard allowed guests to enjoy the warm Florida spring evening. A cylinder with tall curly willow branches surrounded by a collar of green hydrangea and Circus roses graced the table where guest signed the guest book. Tall 26″ cylinders with green cymbidium orchids inside were used on all the guest tables. Wreathes of green hydrangea, Circus roses and orange spray roses surrounded the base of the tall cylinders.
Designers at Flowers by Fudgie — your Sarasota florist — incorporated curly willow, bear grass and colorful croton leaves into the wreathes to create the couple’s vision of a loose, gardeny feel. Several smaller cylinders with green orchid florets and floating candles added the soft glow of candlelight to each table. Columns and arrangements were transferred from the church and used on the food station tables.
Catering was handled by Mattison’s, who expertly served a delicious dinner as well as a scrumptious cake created by their pastry chef. A.J. Mills Photography captured all the memories of the day with flawless photographs and Anna Pohl of Day Planners orchestrated the from start to finish.
It was truly a pleasure to help this out of town couple plan their wedding. By setting phone consultations, email and a few in shop appointments, Flowers by Fudgie was able to help eliminate the stress of planning a destination wedding.
