This was a lovely and sweet tropical-themed destination wedding on Siesta Key. It was beautiful, intimate, and a joy for us to be a part of! This lovely couple has 3 boys between them and these handsome young men made excellent ring bearers!
The ceremony took place under a simple bamboo canopy with 2 gorgeous tropical floral sprays—a large floral spray in the left corner and one floral spray placed mid-post. The large green monstra leaves gave it the perfect tropical feel. This large glossy dramatic leaf makes such a statement and we love using it. Flowers on the ceremony arch included pink ginger, purple dendrobium orchids, pink and yellow lilies, which look almost like *hibiscus!
*Floral tip: We do not recommend using hibiscus flowers in weddings. The flowers are delicate and the petals can bruise easily. They do not hold up well in a tied or arranged in a bouquet as there is no stem, just the bloom off the bush, and they only last for about 24 hours. We recommended substituting lilies like we did in this wedding.
The groom chose to wear a traditional Hawaiian lei and the boys wore a single Bombay dendrobium orchid boutonniere. They all looked very handsome and complemented the tropical look perfectly. The bride carried a stunning and lush tropical bouquet with flowers from the ceremony arch and wore a halo of mini purple and yellow orchids with a few orange spray roses added as well. It was spectacular!
The bride also used her bridal bouquet on the sweetheart table at the reception with a few palms frond added on the edge and floating candles with purple orchid florets under the candle in cylinder. We absolutely love to re-purpose flowers for our brides in order to create their dream day while minding their budget!
This day was sweet and simple... just what the couple wanted. We love making dreams comes true for our brides and grooms!
