Simplicity in design, when done correctly, is stunning. And this Siesta Key wedding epitomizes simplicity at its finest.
This lovely wedding and ceremony took place at the bride’s parent’s home; it was the perfect backdrop for this special day. There were no groomsmen or bridesmaids…the bride and groom took center stage!
The ceremony took place by the outdoor fireplace where we did a palm frond arrangement which included Bombay orchids and lanterns on each side with floral clusters on top. Lanterns are so popular right now and they add a beautiful touch! Additional lanterns were used on the patio and around the pool to tie it together.
The bride chose to carry a trailing bouquet in bright bold colors. This bouquet featured green dendrobium and cymbidium orchids with orange lilies and hot pink roses. The groom wore an orange vanda orchid to complement the overall color scheme—it all worked perfectly together and created a stunning effect!
The wedding cake was a true work of art. It was made by Paisano’s Bakery on Clark Road in Sarasota and we pulled in all the wonderful colors by adding fresh orchids and roses in green, hot pink and orange!
The guests sat at long feasting style tables, which are very popular now. Rattan chargers and elements like sand dollars and starfish were used to pull in the tropical feel, along with the bold tropical-like colors and orchids. Each table was given the name of a city or place the couple had traveled to such as the San Francisco table, Napa table instead of a table number…such a creative idea and a nice personal touch, too!
Down the center of the feasting tables, we did a composite look with several small arrangements such as single cubes with just a rose or cylinders with candles to make a fabulous look!
The catering was provided by the incomparable Michael’s On East. Their food is always scrumptious and their staff’s professionalism is superior…they are the best!
