This dazzling wedding took place at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Sarasota. The Hyatt Regency is the epitome of class and sophistication and it is always a pleasure to do a wedding there!
For this special wedding, we turned the Hyatt Regency’s outside gazebo into a chuppa by adding gorgeous flowing fabric and beautiful large floral sprays. Desiring to add touches of pink in her color scheme, the bride added pink lilies and lisanthus and alstromeria to the flowers on the chuppa as well.
The beaming bride carried stunning white casa Blanca lilies with yellow dendrobium orchids nested between the lilies—it was a superb bridal bouquet!
The bridesmaids’ bouquets featured all-yellow Asiatic lilies which was a striking contrast against their dark teal dresses. The men wore dendrobium orchids and these delicate orchids were also used in the mothers’ bracelet-style corsages on their wrists.
Pink and yellow hues were used in the Sheppard hook arrangements down the aisle as well. Pink and yellow go so well together and added a nice pop of color!
For the reception, elevated centerpieces were used on the tables since the Hyatt has very high ceilings. This gave the reception a dramatic, yet elegant look. For the centerpieces, we used the clear grass pilsner vases with the deep star fighter oriental lilies with the open Mondial garden-like cream roses and the Latina rich yellow roses.
The flower vases that hung from the Sheppard hooks down the aisle were brought inside during cocktail hour and placed around the base of the cake and also used on the place card table. The large floral sprays used on the chuppa became long and low arrangements on the head table with the bride and bridesmaids bouquets worked in between. Whenever possible, we like to try to re-purpose the flowers from the ceremony. It only makes sense to get double duty whenever we can…and our brides love this!
