Nothing makes a wedding quite so spectacular as having the sparkling Gulf of Mexico as your background! And this lovely romantic wedding paired beautifully with the gorgeous gulf. While the sweet ceremony was on the beach itself, the reception was at the Sunset Terrace of the Lido Beach Resort that overlooks the water…it was simply perfect in every way!
This beautiful bride wanted a very natural-looking bouquet in romantic shades of pink. For some time now bridal bouquets have leaned toward a more rounded and compact shape with little to no greenery, but now the trend is more of an open garden feel that can include greenery, berries, and even pieces of curly willow gnarled in! It’s fun to watch these trends and keep our brides happy with trends tailored to their desires.
This particular bouquet included open Pink O’Hara garden roses, Sophie roses, pink tulips, queen ann’s lace, stock white wax flower, and seeded ecu with berries; it was full of beauty! The bridesmaids carried the more compact style using hydrangea with blush roses and spray roses nested between. These two bouquet styles were wonderful complements to one another!
For the ceremony on the beach, we used a traditional curved-top arch trimmed with romantic tulle and a flower arrangement positioned right on top; this garden look mirrored the bridal bouquet perfectly! After the ceremony, we brought this piece inside and used it at the reception. We always like to suggest re-purposing ceremony flowers for use at the reception. It’s a great way to stretch a bride’s precious budget! And you get to look at them longer…it’s a win-win!
Greeting the guests at the back of the aisle were 2 stunning floral arrangements on pedestals to set the stage for the ceremony. The ceremony was performed by Grace Felice of A Wedding with Grace—she does a very personal service that the couple will always remember!
For the reception, the Sunset Terrace, with its tall ceilings, was trimmed with tulle and lights by our friends Carolyn and Phil of Affairs in the Air. The tables were decorated with elevated arrangements on glass cylinders. The open airy centerpieces included hydrangea, roses and stock with trailing dendrobium orchids. These elegant table centerpieces were truly the wow factor when the guests walked into the reception!
