While beach weddings are typically more casual, this couple wanted a "wow" factor so it was really fun to create something special for them on beautiful Siesta Key Beach on the north end.
We worked with the Amanda, the planner from Engaging Affairs in Washington D.C. to get an idea of what the bride was looking for. The ceremony was absolutely incredible with an arch of all greenery topped with luscious white flowers that included cream lilies, hydrangea, and fragrant stock. The base of the arch was banked with fern plants that added to the lush look. Leading up to the arch was a curved entry with shepherd hooks with glass vases of mixed white flowers. As you got to the back of the chairs, the décor switched to pompadour balls on shepherd hooks. There were also lanterns with a wreath of flowers around the base. It was a very extravagant look for the beach...we loved doing this for our bride!
The bride chose a large cascading garden bouquet that included Stephanotis that came in from California...it was magnificent! The bridesmaids, dressed all in bright beautiful blue, carried an all-white garden look designed as hand-tied bouquets for a more natural feel with lilies, hydrangea, and stock with Plumosia and greenery.
And the reception was equally as beautiful! It was a perfect evening for a reception at Ophelia’s on the Bay. The reception was outside on their deck and was stunning in every way.
There was a gorgeous floral arch as the guests entered the area, and hanging fresh flower baskets across the window section of the restaurant. The railings got decorated too where you stepped down to the dock area! No detail was left undone! These flowers were in all-white and garden-like with lots of lush greenery. The linens were a pretty silver color and we used our silver-footed bowls with garden-look flowers with just a soft touch of blue hydrangea and lots of candles.
The wedding cake made its very own statement under the gazebo with fresh peonies flowers that trailed down the cake and candles all around varying heights. It was so pretty!
