There is no doubt that one of the most beautiful places in Sarasota to celebrate a wedding is at the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. With its spectacular banyan trees, gardens, nook and crannies and its gorgeous bayfront views, it is a glorious and nature-filled haven for any bride and groom. Such was the celebration recently under one of Selby’s most historic oak trees on the bay!
The beautiful bride and her groom stood in front of the tree but were framed by two white lacquered columns, each of which held a large gold bowl filled with arrangements of white hydrangea and white and pink roses. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of white hydrangeas with white Mondial garden roses and silver dollar eucalyptus, with the bride’s bouquet filled with pink and white roses. The groom and groomsmen sported single white roses as their boutonnières and the bride’s mother, instead of wearing a traditional corsage, carried two gorgeous long-stemmed white roses.
After the ceremony, the guests were ushered into the Garden event room where the sweetheart table was adorned with brushed gold pedestal candle holders – and, yes, we repurposed the arrangements from the ceremony’s lacquered columns to complete the look. The guest tables were split in their elevation and were adorned with gold vases filled with hydrangea, pink and white roses and lots of silver dollar eucalyptus and lemon leaves. Not to be ignored, the spectacular three-tiered wedding cake was placed on an embellished gold stand and included cascading pink and white roses to complete the look.
All in all, it was a lovely day and, as always, we so enjoyed working with the following vendors to make this special day the very best for the bride and groom:
