The Powel Crosley Museum is a spectacular wedding venue on Sarasota Bay. Our bridal couple chose the Crosley and the fabulous Tibor Imley of Imley Photography to capture there day. The couple used a bold palette of color to include orange, hot pink, lime green, and teal. Peacock feathers were also included in all the bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres to add interest and texture. A graduate of Ringling School of Art, the bride had a wonderful eye for color and style.
The terrace, at the Crosley was the ceremony site where the center arch was draped with off white fabric by Affairs in the Air for a backdrop. The back of the aisle was flanked by trailing greenery at the base of 2 large lanterns at the entrance. The grand stairway made for a wonderful entrance for the bride, and was treated with trailing pathos plants to soften the look of the concrete wall, that were provided through Made in the Shade Plant Rentals.
Cocktails were held following the ceremony under the gazebo and a delicious dinner served by Jaime of Simply Gourmet Catering was inside the Great Room on long feasting style tables. The tables were decorated with centerpieces of natural Manzanita branches with hanging votives, lime green orchids and the base of the arrangements included vibrant hot pink Ravel roses, orange Asiatic lilies, lime green buttons and trailing seeded eucalyptus and placed on teal table runners. For additional candle light, the bride designed transparent wraps for cylinders vases that were of the colors of the wedding which served as table numbers and also votives with an 8 hour oil light inside.
It was wonderful to be able to work with a bride who knew exactly what she wanted and had a vision where the designers at Flowers by Fudgie were able to pull it all together.
