It was another gorgeous—and we mean GORGEOUS—wedding at the elegant Sarasota Ritz Carlton! You can never go wrong with a Ritz Carlton wedding. Whether outside on the stunning grounds, or inside in one of the fabulous ballrooms, it is always spectacular!
This lovely couple chose one of the fabulous ballrooms for their ceremony. The ceremony was originally planned for the lush Healing Garden outside, but threat of rain and warm temperatures changed the couple’s mind.
While the ceremony was in one of the ballrooms, the equally beautiful reception was in another ballroom, with cocktails taking place between the 2 rooms and an adjacent outside area. It worked out wonderfully! The Ritz is very accommodating and works hard to make their brides happy.
The ceremony took place under a beautiful chuppah with a sheer pretty fabric and Affairs in the Air hung a gorgeous chandelier from the center! At the very last minute, Affairs in the Air was also able to hang a drape behind the chuppah to hide the exit doors which were centered there. We then added a floral spray on the back. Each of the chuppah posts held half topiary balls of Mondial garden roses where the fabric was pulled back. It was breath-taking! It is so wonderful to work with vendors like Affairs in the Air that pull out all the stops to make it work!
Two large urns at the back of the aisle greeted guests as they entered the ballroom and the aisle was swagged with fabric. At the end of each row, a cluster of white roses stood on stanchions. The white carpet was decorated with lavender rose petals in a pretty scrolled pattern. It was a knock-out! We re-purposed the flowers from the ceremony for use later in the evening in the cocktail area and around the cake. It’s a great way to get the most out of your flowers!
The bridal bouquet was a pretty and feminine arrangement of white garden roses and the bridesmaids carried a garden mix in pinks and lavenders and purples. The colors were so eye-catching!
For the reception, guests were seated at round tables which were decorated with amazing centerpieces of hot pink and white garden roses, hydrangea, pink peonies and phalaenopsis orchids. They rose above each table on tall cut glass lead crystal pedestals. This was absolutely spectacular!
The families were seated at 2 long feasting tables. They were decorated with an array of flowers making one continual arrangement down the table. These flowers were arranged in mercury glass holders of various sizes and shapes. Some of the vases were filled with just hot pink garden roses, some with lavender stock, and some with white hydrangea. Hundreds of candles were also used which brought a romantic glow to the room and made it appear magical!
The place card table was also a unique element to this wedding! It was beautifully decorated with cut orchids and other vases of flowers grouped in the center of the table with the cards fanned out around it!
Nicole Kaney and her staff at NK Productions did an outstanding job planning the wedding and helping coordinate all the details. Nicole is a true professional with an artist’s touch! And many thanks to Affairs in the Air for always making a wedding extraordinary with all their special touches.
