This was another spectacular destination wedding at the sweetest resort on Siesta Key called The Capri at Siesta. This fabulous boutique and resort on Siesta Key is not to be missed—it may be small, but it’s truly exceptional in beauty and style!
The families and friends took over the resort for the wedding and the reception over Memorial Day weekend! What a party! The bride had a “vintage” style theme which worked perfectly with this hotel! Any theme would work with this hotel, actually…
For her flowers, this fun and creative bride selected a pretty bouquet of White Garden O’Hara roses and pink Sophie roses with mini calla, all nested into hydrangea with her bridesmaids’ bouquets all in pink flowers to match. The bridesmaids also wore sea blue green dresses and the pretty pink just popped against them creating a heavenly effect!
For the reception on the patio outside the hotel, Linens by the Sea provided beautiful linen and then we used table runners of burlap with small mercury vases and varying sized containers with garden pink O’Hara roses and open Sophie roses and vases of million star Baby’s breath. This looked absolutely stunning! We also used blue ball mason jars as candle holders and we worked lots of starfish and sand dollars between the arrangements for a beachy feel! The reception tables were set up in a U-shaped fashion for all the friends and family…it created a very nice ambiance for the evening!
The delicious food and cake were provided by the always outstanding Sarasota Catering Company with Carrie at the lead! Garden roses were used to decorate the scrumptious and pretty buttercream cake!
The wedding itself was on the beach, just a few steps from the resort. It was so nice for all the travelers to be in one place for the ceremony and reception. The beach was very warm that day and a bit busy, but the bamboo arch with sheer fabric and pink garden roses was used with white chairs from US TENT on the beach to designate a special spot for the beach ceremony. The wedding party all walked down the aisle with bare feet. This couple wanted a fun, more laid back casual setting with the sand under their feet…perfect!
It continues to be our pleasure to work with brides and their families to make their wedding dreams come true!
