This destination wedding was a true topical wedding in every sense of the word, from the venue to the tropical flowers and foliage. It was a tropical wonderland!
The bride carried a tropical bouquet with orchids, ginger, pin cushion protea, and lots of tropical greenery. This bouquet also had a very unique macramé wrap for the handle that a friend made for her. It was a lovely and pretty touch!
The bridesmaids carried simple but truly tropical bouquets with 3 red ginger flowers and tropical monstera leaves. And the sweet little flower girl, who was the daughter of the bride, had a small downsized bouquet just like her mom! It was so pretty and charming! The groom was even in the tropical flow with a beautiful bird of paradise on his tan vest to pull all the flowers together.
The reception was on the gorgeous Sunset Terrace of the Ritz Carlton Beach Club where the cocktail tables and the guest tables got in on the tropical action, too. We planned for assorted styles on the tables to create great visual interest. Some featured vases of red ginger, birds of paradise with a tropical monstera leaf under it to give it a larger feel, as well as a gold pineapple and lanterns! Other tables had a variety of smaller vases that included yellow cymbidium orchids, leaves, and gold votives or low bowls with tropical flowers. And the sweet heart table was edged with the tropical flowers used on the ceremony arch with the macrame.
These different centerpieces for the reception created a good variety and created a beautiful tropical feel just like the bride wanted. The wedding cake wasn’t left out either—it was adorned with monstera leaves and orchids. Tropical flair was everywhere!
