This beautiful and colorful wedding took place at the Powel Crosley Estate. It was a lovely Jewish service under a gorgeous chuppah on the loggia of the mansion. The chuppah was adorned with lush and colorful flowers of roses, hydrangea, sunflowers, and more and looked wonderful and lush. The bride loved sunflowers, so they were used strategically in her bouquet and for the ceremony flowers in the chuppah and back-of-aisle flowers. We didn't want to use too many sunflowers as that could create a more Tuscan feel and that was not the look the family wanted.
The bride's bouquet also included blush quicksand and burgundy Explorer roses, white hydrangea, veronica, burgundy mini calla, and seeded and silver dollar eucalyptus. It was a stunning bouquet in every way! For the bridesmaids' bouquets, we omitted the sunflowers and did a downsized look for them which was very pretty and feminine.
For the reception, we went with a more upscale sophisticated look with our commanding and large gold candelabras on each guest table with candles on top and 3 gold mercury holders with the burgundy Explorer roses and white hydrangea. The mantle was dressed with our brushed gold pedestal candle holders and greenery with burgundy roses tucked throughout. Affairs in the Air did a fabulous job with the lighting over the dance floor and added a gorgeous chandelier. All of these touches added up to a dazzling and beautiful night!
While the bride and groom's family live here in Sarasota, it was a destination wedding for the bride and groom so we worked closely with the bride's mom and Laura Snow, the planner from Sarasota Wedding and Event Gallery.
