A recent wedding at the beautiful Longboat Key Club Resort was a perfect example of under embellished, yet classic, elegance.
CEREMONY
Making a bold statement for the ceremony was a simple bamboo arch that was entwined with tropical greenery and just one large center spray and smaller mid-post sprays of greens that included monstera and dracaena leaves and aralia. The arch was the focal point for all who entered, as the aisles were decorated with small foliage clusters so as not to diminish the effect of the main arch.
The beautiful bride carried an all-rose bouquet which included white O’Hara blush and Playa Blanca garden roses and a few Faith roses which echoed the dusty tone of the bridesmaids’ gowns. The bridesmaids carried downsized versions of the bridal bouquet. The groom and groomsmen wore simple double boutonnieres of white spray roses.
RECEPTIONÂ
Upon entering, guests found their place cards on a table decorated with palm leaves, geometric candle holders containing gold votives and single open garden roses nestled in-between.
The bride and groom looked so gloriously happy at their sweetheart table, which was decorated with palm and other tropical leaves and White Playa Blanca roses to mimic the bride’s bouquet. That décor carried through to the guest tables with assorted tropical greenery, open garden roses and geometric candle holders with gold votives.
And, not to be neglected, we have to point out how garden roses and white wax flowers with pieces of greenery cascaded down the elegant wedding cake.
This wedding was a lesson in simplicity and elegance. The décor was perfect to serve as a backdrop for the reason for the day – the celebration of the bride and groom and their love and commitment. We were so proud to be a part of it!
